Ya know, a suitable CO should plan ahead, and be on top of things when others aren't even thinking about them yet. They should be making sure everything is running smoothly while everyone else is having fun... They should make hotel reservations ahead of time, instead of waiting until the very last minute, thereby splitting up the very community they are supposed to be organizing...

I also can't make it to all the meets, and as a CO, you should be at each and every one of them since you're the organizer. Theres a big responsability in that (imho).
Even if you nominated yourself, you could always decline said nomination.
