Every time I pop my hood for something its a 100% guarantee that my oil dipstick is popped up. The rubbers around it are all good, it has a nice snap when I push it back down. But it is always popped up every time I happen to look at it! Anyone else have this issue or even noticed. Check yours the next time your under your hood. It bugs me

 

alot of s2ks do it, crank case pressure! mine has never done it!

 

couple of options.

make sure you wipe the oil off the O-rings before you re-insert the dipstick.

so people turn the dipstick head around facing the other direction and claim that this fixes the issue.

and the last option is to install come "crankvents", see if that helps.

just so you know, this is common and even my 2007 model does it sometimes.

 

I have an 07 & never had that happen, nor did it happen with my 02.

 

I have never experienced this either on my 2007.

When I drive the piss out of my car it happens to me.

Luckly I drive mine really easy and never race it or even go into Vtec

Some people say the crankvents mod helps out. Do a search on the main forum and you will find info on it.
