I'm new here and am looking into buying a used s2k with a rebuilt title. Its owner claims to have installed a new Greddy turbo, as well as an Invidia exhaust. I've read the intro topics about what to look for and what questions to ask, but what I've been unable to find is:

where can I get this thing inspected (locally, somewhere in Orlando, FL?)

I'm buying it from a private seller, and definitely want to have it professionally inspected, but have no idea where to get it done. Any ideas?

 

If you are local there are plenty of good shops you can take the car too. Real Street Performance is on 17-92 in Longwood they have S2000 and extensive boost experiance and they are a great sponsor of our forum. I am sure they would be willing to check the car out for you. Wherever you take it make sure the car is gone over very comprehensively. With having both a rebuilt title and being boosted it will need to be made sure that everything is working correct and safe. On the same hand, I have owned rebuilt title cars in the past and if they are safe and done right they can be had for a hell of a deal. Let us know how it goes, and if you do purchase it make sure you come out to one of our meets.

Nuts. I just called RSP this morning, and they told me the guy that does the inspections is out of town for three weeks! Any alternate suggestions, or should I concede defeat?

 

Hello Orlando, I am down from the panhandle and looking for a few good shop recommendations to get an s2000 inspected. I saw the one listed above, are there any more? We are looking at a GPW 05 model with tan interior. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
