sounds like exactly what happened to mine a few weeks ago

cept no cut top b/c i left it unlocked in my driveway
thats why mine was unlocked the first time but the hole cut my top anyways. cops said it really doesnt make much of a difference cuz they dont check so i lock it.. My experience with my insurance company has been pretty good so far (esuarance)..so i'll see how it all plays out in the end. i want to shave the antenna and get something else for my radio.. thanks to all for the comments and input..

its a good thing they just left, i know some people dont get locks cuz they are worried of the thief retaliating and damaging the car since they cant get the seats.

true but if my calculation serves me correctly.. the seats are really the most expensive item they have ready access (have to find the "special latch" for popping the hood). maybe they got spooked since my car was at the front by semoran

P.S. I do want to thank speedy for patching her up til the insurance butter is churned.. i really do appreciate that last minute help especially with the rain clouds looming above..

sorry bout the top.. vinyl repair kit (you could get it from an auto parts store). get some black gorrila tape and a piece of cardboard to keep it flat. mix the compound and give it a couple hours to dry up.. the other half you can take your time with.. pm speedy ( speedworksracing ) he is real saavy with this stuff. again sorry about the top.. im considering one of those camera alarms with the gsm module so it can contact my cell phone as well.. im gonna cath em one way or another... 3rd times the charm.

thanks for the help. i cant believe it happened to u twice in less than a year. i hate hearing these stories but they seem to be never ending. that camera alarm might be a good idea cause it would be nice to have some sort of notification. its good to hear your insurance company has been easy to work with. have both of your claims affected your premiums? im worried about having a new soft top put on and having this happen again and possibly losing my seats.

first time out of pocket second time insurance and i guess i will find out about the premium when its time to renew... yeah orlando is really taking a turn for the worse when it comes to crimes.. make sure you get the seat locks though.. they help.. although my friend showed me a way around the locks... the best thing to do is make sure you use that locking compound and not just those special bolts. with enough time you CAN actually unscrew them.. speedy is a good guy and very helpful. so far we caught one guy where i live stealing rims out of an olds.. we didnt call the cops for this one. i just want to catch one messing.. hopefully this camera setup will do just that.

Sorry to hear about the attempted theft.. I used to live over in that area a few years ago. They tried to steal my beat up 94 honda accord (DD), I was shocked, they will steal anything with a H badge on it. Almost all the civic hatches over their have stolen engines and or numerous stolen parts on them. As I general rule I don't even bring my S to any location in east orlando . That seems to be the epicenter of Honda theft enthusiasts.
