Default Winter Park 10k

The last race in the Track Shack 2007-2008 Grand Prix series is scheduled for Saturday, March 29th. It's the CNL Winter Park Road Race.

There is a 2 mile race which starts at 7:00 a.m., and then there is a 10k starting at 7:30 a.m. The 2 miler is a nice warmup for the 10k. Is anyone interested in doing the race? This is one of the long time classic road races in Central Florida, through one of the most scenic courses around. There are a few moderate hills and a racing route taking you over a mixture of asphalt and cobblestones. I am going to do these races just to get some moderate distance runs in. If anyone is interested let me know. I usually run this in the 43:00 to 43:30 range, but I am not running this at race pace--it's just a training run for me--so if anyone wants to do it at a relaxed pace let me know. Then again, if you are interested in running it at race pace, I am game too.

With global warming, this is now a great time to run. It's not too cool, and it's not to humid.

We can run the race and then hit either Starbucks or Panera afterwards.

Um...I'll take this as a "No".

The laundry girls and the Spanish Navigator are doing the 2 miler. I usually like to do that with the girls then run the 10k. I will probably put my bike on the back of the Pilot and ride home from the race...you know, running at a nice slow relaxed pace is a nice exercise for a mother with child.

^ It's only two miles if you do the short race.

I won.

Triman developed a blister on his left pinky toe, and collapsed in pain. He was last seen mumbling in Spanish on the stretcher as they rolled him into the waiting ambulance.
