Default Adirondack Ride Update

ok, so, let's go for Sunday. Looks pretty good weather-wise.

Here's the plan:

Meet my place at 4:30am Sunday morning, ready to go.

We'll likely drive down through Cornwall, then take various backroads from roughly the Malone area. (many are from the list I posted to before).

Our destination mountain: Catamount mountain (a mountain near Whiteface). Not long, good views, fun.

After the hike, a quick ride into Lake Placid for a stop at Ben&Jerry's ice cream or a bite to eat or whatever. (probably around 1-2pm ish)

(I will quickly dash into the UPS store in Lake Placid at this point and pick up my S-Pods)

After that, we are off to some more good twisty roads in the region.

Return to Ottawa, likely via Ogdensburg.

I will post directions to my place in an upcoming post.

4:30am??? Are you NUTS? Maybe I'll meet you guys in Cornwall, I'll let you know.

I like sleeping, I might drive to Cornwall Saturday night, than you guys can pick me up on the way (my parents live basically on the 138 highway). That way I don't have to leave till 5:30am

Now that I think of it, I'm trying to figure out why you want to leave that early.

For Saturday it made sense. Does it make that much sense for Sunday? Cottage traffic should be NIL on sunday anyways.....

perhaps there is that effect, but in my experience it helps even on Sundays - plus it gives more time down there during the day. I much prefer too much time to too little.

Here is the location of my place (for the meeting Sunday morning).

I am near the corner of Merivale and Baseline, and not that far from the 417.

I'll be there, if I can get my replacement brake pads tomorrow.
