Darcy, you can ride with me if you still want to come. I could probably be convinced to have you drive a stint or two

So nobody answered the question

How far to this track? I'll come along for the day to take pics.... and enjoy the show. Maybe I'll go for a ride along

I'll see how it is, then maybe next time I'll jump in the driver seat. But I do still have to get a helmet if I want to do anything.

I'm still getting the feeling of driving this beast, around corners, first time in RWD and all, trying not to be a ditch bum

Who's the 3rd S2000 if Don is doing autoX?

I'd have to change my brake fluid if I wanted to track her for sure, I'm going to do that as soon as I do the diff fluid....

I wonder if it would be best to do that before storing the car or after storing.... probably after?

It's about 3 hours away from Ottawa eh? Jeez you guys will be beat, driving there and back and on the track. Prices look decent $75 for half a day!

I wonder why they require you have insurance if insurance will say f you hmmmm

It's a full day of driving, but that's good.

The third is Mikey9krpm, Suzuka Blue.

Insurance is probably for personal injury/liability. Covers worst case stuff, like what car clubs have to have during public events vs. our private renting. Sounds like the track is well organized. They are forcing minimum levels of "health support" and protects the tracks owner's ass.

Change the brake fluid after storing. Your changing it to flush out any water that might of contaminated the brake fluid. Water reduces the boiling point of the fluid increasing the suceptability to brake fade.

Ok, I'll wait for that, I changed the diff fluid today, what a PITA!

Car being lowered made it MUCH MUCH more difficult than it should be. And MAN does that stuff stink. It certainly needed to be changed though.

When you guys leaving sunday?

I can't race my car Sunday. I called about 10 insurance places today and the best they could say is that a person would get back to me Monday. Man...do they ever treat you like a criminal if you have a couple of speeding tickets a few years back. I'm going to get my drive clean and safety done tommorow though. what time are you guys going up Fongu?

Sounds like it will be fun. Unfortunately I'll be in Perth :-( But it would be nice if someone could snap a couple pics for the rest of us.

one more thing. At Mecaglisse, the pits are not paved or even gravel. We're talking dirt and sand. At the end of the day, the inside of my car was covered with dirt just from having the windows rolled down. Might want to keep the car closed up until you go on the track.
