Default "It never hurts to help"

Well it kinda hurt. Good old heat stress from working the MCO Race School last Saturday. So, for driving to Shannonville and standing in field all day, I got a free lunch, all the water I could drink and some TRACK TIME

Here is a clip of the most intersting laps my car did. Of course, it wasn't me driving, it was one of the instructors. His not pushing it, is my losing control He described the ride as OK, but the handling was a little sloppy. Never heard S2000 handling described that way, but he's used to a fully race-prepped Miata (i.e. go-kart). It's Shannonville Pro Track, it was OK, but I like Full Track and Fabi more.

Nice, I was thinking of going, but I have no camping crap and I was building a deck.
You can tell it's not you driving

I knew R's would squeal hehe, sounds like they were squealing a lot there. I like that last corner as he corrects the slide, you can see a few spots where he did it but that last one was soooo smooth and very impressive.

What is the size of RA-1 fongu?

Are they still staggered? It is the first tiem that i hear that to but like you stated he is used to a race car.

Cool video but i tought he was going to lose it a couple of time, i would have been nervous.

Actually, he was really under control. I wasn't concerned, but then again I've learned that I'm pretty calm when there are those "moments". He was driving at around 8-9 tenths. That steering wheel sawing is standard method of regaining steering when understeering, and also correcting the oversteer drift. The video had only the last few laps of the stint, he slowly built up speed and the "losing it" was him just finding out when the car lets go. If you know it's going to happen it's not that big a deal to correct. The trick is being able to feel the tires starting to slip.

I'm using stock rims still, so that limits how wide I can go. 225/50/16 front, 245/45/16 rear with big front swaybar (to rebalance the added oversteer). This is the US SCCA stock autocross formula tire sizes, but they would be using Hoosiers or Kumho R's instead of RA1's (a track tire).

Oh yeah, I also have the GoFast rear anti-bumpsteer kit. It has made the rear end more predictable and more stable on mid-corner bumps.

Not to mention my new coilovers to be installed in the other thread!
