Orders -- Heads up
I Ordered my testpipe a while back from Brian at berk technologies... If you can, never order with ups as they overcharge for brokerage fee.
so my 100$ testpipe turned out to cost 60$ brokerage fee. I noticed that USPS, Canada post and fedex don't usually have that much brokerage fee. So just a heads up guys if your ordering from the states. |
That is pretty par for the course.
Supposedly if you use "expedited" or "express" with any of the couriers you end up paying an extra ~$10 for the service but there is no brokerage fee. I have yet to test this. If I can't get stuff sent via USPS (no brokerage) I'll get it shipped to Ogdensburg and self import the items myself - if I have the time. |

ship with USPS if you can and there is no brokerage fee... well of all the shipping companies that is the only one that I havn't paid brokerage fee for.
UPS is complete BS with their flat rate shit and Fed ex sends you a nice little letter in the mail a couple weeks after you get the package saying you owe them $XX.XX for duties... |
As a rule of thumb, never ship anything across a border with UPS. I also let vendors know why I won't order from them if they won't ship by USPS or won't ship to Ogdensburg. I know of a few that changed their UPS only policies because of this :)
