Default Orders -- Heads up

I Ordered my testpipe a while back from Brian at berk technologies... If you can, never order with ups as they overcharge for brokerage fee.

so my 100$ testpipe turned out to cost 60$ brokerage fee. I noticed that USPS, Canada post and fedex don't usually have that much brokerage fee.

So just a heads up guys if your ordering from the states.

That is pretty par for the course.

Supposedly if you use "expedited" or "express" with any of the couriers you end up paying an extra ~$10 for the service but there is no brokerage fee. I have yet to test this.

If I can't get stuff sent via USPS (no brokerage) I'll get it shipped to Ogdensburg and self import the items myself - if I have the time.

Yeah I've heard about rumors like that as well but I've yet to try it out myself. I guess its time to call the MythBuster

ship with USPS if you can and there is no brokerage fee... well of all the shipping companies that is the only one that I havn't paid brokerage fee for.
UPS is complete BS with their flat rate shit and Fed ex sends you a nice little letter in the mail a couple weeks after you get the package saying you owe them $XX.XX for duties...

As a rule of thumb, never ship anything across a border with UPS. I also let vendors know why I won't order from them if they won't ship by USPS or won't ship to Ogdensburg. I know of a few that changed their UPS only policies because of this
