Yeah, you told me. Everyone told me. But its not so bad, unless you are just cruising between 3k and 4k RPM.

Besides that point, i love the sound and even the volume. But the resonance blows my mind...
Yes the 3k-4k drone is brutal, it's always "not too bad unless you are on the throttle" haha.

Yeah it's not that loud until the novelty wears off. It gets old pretty quick when you start changing the way you drive to avoid the droning rev range or have to clutch in when decelerating.

Like I was saying on Friday, if you want to get rid of the resonance, get the welder out and tack on a helmholtz resonator. It's that small right angle stub on the stock exhaust. You might have to play around with the length to cancel the right rpm range.

And if I'm getting wing it's going to be big enough to seat at least 4 people picnic table style!

Well, I figure to close this, i might talk about my experience with Invidia today. I called and told them that I bought the exhaust second hand, and that the previous owner did not include the silencers.

Within an hour, the guy that i reached on the phone had priced and shipped a pair of silencers to my door for a total of $50 USD. He even shipped it USPS and packed them into a smaller box to save on shipping for me. (this avoids UPS's BS border service charges)

Same day (and even same hour) location of parts and shipping. Even to a second hand customer.

I am VERY impressed.

That is all......

well, they came in and i installed them today...

what a difference. now it is TOTALY better. It is like a real car again. It changes the sound a bit, its more tinny now, and sounds more like a riceball muffler.

On the upside, I can drive my car now, without getting a headache....

but you've just negated the point of having the exhaust. You've just plugged them up pretty good!

i bought the exhaust for the sound, not the ~5hp addition. so that does not concern me. plus, if i want to, like for auto cross, i'll just take them out. one bold and one nut.

it doesnt get any easier than that!

i went all over the place looking for them, but i guess a 4" ID is somthing a ilttle unusual.

no one seemed to have them that fit.

oh, well... it was 65 bucks for the pair, inculding shipping, from invidia.
