09 Drive schedule
Sunrise road was perfect. Dry all the way to the top, 6310 feet.Beautiful views from Mt. Baker to Mt. Adams. Just an absolutely great day for a top down drive. Hwy 123 was a little rough in places, but otherwise, the roads were excellent. Four of us took the drive. Alex and Aldric (all the way from Vancouver B.C.), Terry and Mary, Mike, and myself. Three silver and one GPW. Hope everyone enjoyed the drive as much as I did.

Next drive is 22-23 August. We're doing the Olympic Peninsula loop. Starting at Little Creek Casino near Shelton and going to Port Angeles on Saturday. Port Angeles to Port Townsend then down 101 on Sunday. Reservations can be made at the Red Lion in Port Angeles. Just tell them you are with the S2000 club. The cost is $129 for non-water view and $179 for King water view. Post here if you want to go. I'll forward you all the info.

No one says you have to stay in Port Angeles. You can always continue on to Port Townsend. Since we will be heading there first thing Sunday, you can rejoin us for the trip down 101. It's all about the people and the drive.

We will be departing Little Creek Casino at 9 AM on Saturday. There are at least 5 cars going on this drive. Intend to head out to the Ocean and cruise up past Pacific Beach before returning to 101. Depart 101 again at Sappho and head up to 112, a National Scenic Byway, and head into Port Angeles along the Strait of Juan De Fuca. Sunday depart for Port Townsend and do the tourist thing there and at Fort Worden. Then head down 101 by Hood Canal, returning to Little Creek Casino.
You're welcome to join us and enjoy the drive and scenery.
