I have scheduled to get the 9th off. So I will be there. With any luck it will be dry.

I also ordered one of those xt lap timers transmitter/receiver. I was reading that if you have two transmitters you can program the receivers to do split times. So if we ever get both there on the same day we could set them up one on the straight and one between corners 5 and 6 to get split times for the north and south sides. (in theory anyway) I think that it would be very interesting to see how different cars do north vs south. I know that cars like Jared's are going to be very quick everywhere, but it would be interesting to see how much of that is on the straight/south, and how much or how little is on the north. (my guess would be that of the ~6 seconds that he has on me about 4 seconds would be the difference on the south and it would be much closer on the north with him only spanking me by ~2 seconds or so.

That's right, the gauntlet has been thrown...

with the transmiter and receiver it cost me about $250. You can buy just the receiver for about $200. I think Alfy or one of his friends has a transmitter and two receivers.

I will show up around 8:00. They won't let you on track untill 9:00. And ya, let's hope that the week out weather predictions are actually right this time. I want a chance to try and break 1:14.999.

Weather is changing. Got a small 2 day window of weather. Hopefully we get lucky.

Tempted to buy a used longacre hot timer and beacon but the wife will kill me if I buy more things. Damn I won't be able to time myself.

^ehh, they are not hard to swap from car to car. Though you do need to pick it up, and carry it all the way to the other car... I would have no problem with you using it for a few rounds. I just hope that it shows up in time. I ordered it last week, and today was the 4th business day, so hopefully it will show up tomorrow or early next week.

I just think that it would be cool to get both my transmitter, and who ever has the other both going, that way we could have split times.

Cool thanks. I may have found an alternative. It's an iPhone all called harrys lap timer. Only $6 so worth a try.

That should work. Though many of the phone app timers have a hard time getting reception on the north end of the track, so lap times get a little screwy from time to time.

Just a small update. My lap timer arrived today, so that should be up and running. I will extend the sam offer to you guys that I did to the Miata guys. Any one in an s2k/miata/s2ki member can throw my timing gear in their car for a session or two. It is always more fum when you have times, and can compete directly with one another. Weather is still predicted to be nothing but cold and sunny, percect for getting personal best times.

Should be a fairly good miata turn out, let's see it we can get a few more s2k's on board for at least part of the day.

How many s2ks coming? I'm down. Twanny on the half and who else?

I may borrow your timer if it's available to check the accuracy of this iPhone app if you dont mind.

No problem. I hope that the phone app works too.

I would tell you to try and get Alfy involved, but I think that right now he isn't interested in anything that isn't covered in the white stuff.
