Yeah, the team sucked this year. But still, this was fun.

Did you go tonight? It looked like it was electric at the ballpark.

Only a record that stood for 84 years!

My mom was there tonight. We've got friends with Diamond Club season tickets. She was SO excited that she called me both when he tied the record and when he broke it.

A friend of mine invited me to the game. We were in the 300 level in right field.

Watching Ichiro break the record was something else. But the whole 3rd inning was fantastic. The M's just singled that Ranger pichter to death! They went through the whole lineup until Ichiro got up to bat a second time in the same inning.

I also saw Jeremy Reed hit a foul ball towards us, and it actually flew out behind the lights! Never seen that happen before... but the ball rolled back and surprised everyone.

And I almost walked away with a HD tv... except the winner was in the same seat I was in one section away.

I just found out my parents are taking me to the ballgame this sunday. The last we'll see of Edgar. Unless he pulls a "Roger Clemens".

You are going to the right games, Ananda!

I can't imagine Edgar going another year unless he gets a new pair of legs.

It's too bad because the swing still looks good.

That's awesome. Growing up, I really didn't have any athletes from my ethnicity to admire except for maybe figure skater Kristy Yamaguchi. Way to go brutha Ichiro!

We saw Ichiro get #260 tonight. Let's hope he can add on a few more tomorrow.

Great tribute to Edgar, especially the Comish announcing that the DH of the year will now be called 'The Edgar Martinez Award'.

I saw some of that ceremony on TV. It won't seem the same without Edgar. He's been on the team for almost the exact same time I've been a fan of baseball.

The commish is a slimeball used car salesman. But that is a good idea -- Edgar is the best DH ever. No contest between him and Baines.

Expect to see Edgar's number retired by the Mariners in about five years -- the rules for that were practically tailor written to fit him.

Yeah, don't get me started on Selig. Gah.

Yeah, the award name is very good. So is 'Edgar Martinez Drive S'.
