anyone have 18s care to share their alignment specs with me? ill be going to OMNI soon and would like to kno what i should run to help alleviates the rubbing issues im having. yes, i AM rubbing on stock ride height!!! i think my suspension may be blown. im rubbing in the rears on any irregularities in the road, and the fronts rub on full suspension travel (ie hard right turn while slowing down going down a hill)

specs on the wheels and tires: 18x7.5 et 48 225 SO3, 18x8.5 et 50 255 SO3

im thinking 2.5 camber for the rears and 1.5 for the fronts? any change needed for toe and castor? should i have these set to the stock specs? im looking for handling characteristics to be as close to stock as possible, if it is at all possible.

TIA!!!

Hey Mike -

Sucks to rub, doesn't it?

I knew I was going to have some clearance issues going in - but it surprises me to learn that there is rubbing @ stock height!

I'll be rolling my fenders this week...

I've got a pretty agressive rear alignment -2.4 degrees of camber in the rear. Mind you - I'm running 265s on 9.5s w ET55 offsets and it's pretty close. Even lowered - I think an minor fender roll will take care of it. I'd do a search on the "UK Alignment" and use those specs to start. I tried to get Speedware to set my car to those specs and they couldn't!

Good thing you're going to Omni...

Mike,

I'm not sure an alignment is going to help you. You know what the spiel is. I don't want you to have to waste $100 to realize that nothing can be done about it outside of getting rid of those rims or the car itself (M3....). If you do decide to proceed, make sure Randy's doing the work. Good luck! Send a PM to Ray.

Jeff,

Due to lowering, I am forced to run -2.0 camber in the rear. I think my springs settled or something cuz I swear I was able to run closer to stock (less rear camber) when I first put them on. Ahh well.

Good idea, IMO.

Rubbing at stock height with your offsets - not ideal but not REALLY bad sounds very strange.

Good Luck!
