Default Any problems w/o front plate

I know your suppose to have front plates in WA, but has anyone got a hard time from a cop for not having one?

I noticed quite a few s2k people w/o front plates.

I dont have a front plate.....no problems so far (knock on wood)....you always run the risk though.

The only thing is that no front plate is an open invitation for a cop to pull you over.

Some people have had problems...some haven't. It's a judgement call as to whether or not you want to open yourself up to the hassle and possible ticket. I heard the fines went up recently...?

I have no problem with my S2000 but I have severely major serious problem on my eclipse because of my super aggressive body kit.

Right now, I got pull over once a month on average. Just got a ticket without a front license plate recently but I can fight back easily. A few of the words from cops like the following:

"I give no tolerant for people who have after market body kit"
"Your body kit looks too aggressive, license and registration please"
"Your car looks like a fast car, may I see your license, registration, and insurance sir"
"You have potential to drive fast, may I see your license and registration"

Those are the exact word that I quote from cops.

But again, I only drive my S on the weekend so it is hard to compare.

$101. This is the fine from last month (April or May). Unless they just changed it this month.

Yup. If there is anything else wrong with your car, or with you, or with what you have in the car, then you would have to be really stupid to give the cops a free shot at pulling you over. It's amazing how many people with warrants out on them get pulled in for things like expired tabs.

drove w/o the plate for 1.5 years. got a $101 ticket for no front plate, and that was the only reason why i was pulled over. got it dropped after i showed the judge that it was back on. payed some court fee ($30 or so) and kept it on since. looks ugly, but not worth the hassle, money, time, etc...

For me, I will continue to take my chances and challenge the law.

I got pulled over by the WSP for not having a front plate and also for not using my turn signal through an intersection. I knew it was illegal but played dumb and they let me go. I plan on putting it back on as I'm pursuing a career with the Washington State Patrol. I won't enforce laws I don't follow myself.

Then by all means leave your front plate off.
