Default Audio installer recommendations?

So I just got my S2000 a few days ago, and I would be fine with the stock deck except for the fact that I have a 24 hour drive to phoenix in two weeks and Id probably have to burn 20 CD-Rs just to fit half my trip, now I would like to install a head unit before I go.

Now I would order one for cheaper and install it myslef but I might not have time to wait for it, so I was wondering for those who got theirs done by a store, where did you go and how good was the install?

TIA

It's been more than a decade since I last had anything like that done, but I always got good quality service done by Magnolia Hi-Fi.

head unit installs are really easy to do yourself, all you need is a phillips screwdriver and a small flathead screwdriver. There is a car toys that gives s2ki members a discount if i remember correctly.

I wouldn't mind doing that but I dont think I have time to order something and have it here before I leave to phoenix. And I left my soldering iron in phoenix also.

Since all electronic stores usually have free installations why not? At least it will be warrantied, Im just wondering which store does a good job. Im thinking Car Toys and Magnolia Hi-Fi

I'd go with Magnolia Hi-Fi in Seattle (on Roosevelt). there's a guy named Devin and he's a real nice, and efficient, mechanic.

but wherever you go, try not to give 'em your real address..................

some of the underqualified employees may come to your house at night and steal the stuff right out.......................

ridiculous as it may sound, it happens much too often... Kelvin'd attest to this fact without much hesitation

I bought the Pioneer Premier DEH-P580MP from Mag HiFi in bellevue, the guy threw in a free harness and I just installed it myself.

I also saw a Moonrock at the store, not sure if it was appropriate to wave or not

Soldering the harness took the longest, about 20 mins, then removing the old and installing the new head unit took about 10-15 mins, was very easy.
