Default Body shop?

Hi Everyone,

Not sure if people still remember me as I disappeared for a while. Anyways, the reason why I disappeared (I was really busy) is because of my recent status changes. Looks like I finally found my second half, pop the question and make everything final. I was planning to show up on Tue after my final exam which is next week. Anyways, I will bring her with me next time to introduce to everyone.

I am sure Ray will have the most interest as she has the same nationality as him. Ray, you got a new friend now as she speaks your language.

Anyways, my main question is, my entire body kit finally arrives (after 3+ months or so) and it is one damn expensive one. (luckily I got it before I get married) Therefore, I would like to find a good, especially experienced and professional body shop to paint and install them. Just wondering anyone has any recommendation? Perferably somewhere near Eastside but if I have to drive far, I don't mind if this is what it takes. Also, I have heard going to Vancouver is better as they have more experience and better shop? Any idea? Any recommendation?

Really appreciate any input.

Thanks in advance,
Eric.

Congrats Eric!!!!!!!!!
See you next week.

As far as body shops, the Canada thing would be a pain in the a$$ due to getting your parts back and forth thru the board. Someone will try to charge you a duty ......

Thanks Ray.
I probably will show up Dec 14 week since my final exam is on Dec 9th. However, one dinner shouldn't take too long, I will try.

Yeah, Canada thing will be a serious pain and probably is my last option.

Anyways, anyone knows of a good body shop who do a lot of aftermarket body kit?

Well, I don't know about aftermarket body kits but I do know a body shop that has some rather extensive recent S2000 experience....

They made a few minor F-ups with my car, but not many compared to how much work they did. And they were willing to make things right. I have no idea how competitive their rates are when they are not working for the insurance co.

Oh, and congrats, Eric. I had wondered where you had disappeared to. Missed you out on the track.

Congrats Eric!!!!

I wouldn't mess with BC body shops when you still have good ones down here. But if you do head to BC, then you should install as much of the body kit as can. Drive it thru the border and take it off once you get through... and no duty charge!

Jus kiddin

If anything, just give the border patrol a call and ask them.

I had my Bronco in a shop in Canada and was going up every weekend to work on it. I was going through a smaller border station and they got to know me. I was bringing body parts and fenders across in my little car, they would ask questions, but never did anything about it. Though, they were curious how the project bronco was coming along.

Thanks both Mike and Optikal,

Mike, do you have the contact information for that shop? I wouldn't mind give them a call, drop by their shop to take a look.

Optikal, going to Vancouver is probably my last option. I hope I can find a good body shop around here. If I do have to go to Vancouver, I will bring the entire body kit up there (hopefully one trip), have them paint it, when they are ready, I will drive my S up there to install it. Then I will make one last trip to pick up factory body part. I am looking 3+ trip minimum. Again, hopefully I can find a good one here.

I have heard CarNuts is good? Anyone heard of it? Is it good?
