Bye Bye S2000...
Hey guys,
Its been short lived but I traded in my AP1 S2k after one year and now it sits at Toyota of Seattle. I've included a package of all documents since it was purchased new in 2000 (original invoice, car sticker, all repairs, all maint records) to Toyota. So in case anybody was looking at the car, they can reach out to me with any questions and I'd be more than happy to answer. I'll be picking up another S2 hopefully this winter when I source a secure garage spot, but for the time being, I wish you all the best and talk in a few months! I'm sure I'll be back as I've had 3 AP1's so maybe its time to get the AP2 for the next car and keep it a bit longer
Ride on.

It baffles me how some can go through these cars like a pair of sneakers
I’ve had the same one for 9 years now and never plan on selling it.
Take care and see you around, I’m sure someone will be interested in the car.

Congrats on the sale Fukamoto, I am sure you can find another nice one when you are ready
I would be worried about mine every day/night it wasn't garaged, so I understand the reason for needing to sell it. Hopefully you can get that extra garage spot, and enjoy the next one for a little longer

Its actually my 14th car in 12 years (but I've had multiple cars at once, so its not as bad as it sounds...though it does sound bad!). Now that you mention it, I think I've had just as many sneakers in the past 12 years
I'll be in the market for a boosted AP1/AP2 or a built Factory Five Shelby Cobra hopefully in November so time to keep my eyes peeled

I hate to make an example out of someone here, but its a good opportunity to do so. This is where an individual investing in a Membership, can at least show a basic level of commitment to the other club members for various dealings. Its something for other members to keep in mind when Guest "solicit" you for anything. Whether its to buy something, or ask for help. Be weary of committing your time to those who have no commitment to the club and therefore YOU. I was asked from this guest to install Urbans SC kit for him if he was to purchase. I declined for a few reasons, but the biggest was I don’t know who this person is and see that he has no ties to the club by his guest status, and I don’t like getting burned.
***Fukumoto... buddy, pick up a membership in the future and even better show yourself at one of our weekly meets, if you plan on solidifying yourself in the club and getting the benefits that go along with that, ok.

Wow. Pretty surprised with this feedback:
Junky, if you needed me to be vouched for, all you had to do was ask. I have been a member of the Subaru forums for 12+ years with 15k posts, but as I just moved to Seattle and bought a S2k, I haven't had an opportunity to meet with you guys. That and I work 15 hour days 6 days a week, so weekly meetings are low on my list of things to do when I have a day off to take a breather.
Urban DK, its a shame that you think I was wasting your time as I don't think anybody who has witnessed my builds (Zerosports 500hp+ STi, S/C Miata, AVO sponsored RS-T) would agree. I've purchased two cars from the S2ki forums, two hardtops, wheels, etc, and even had a deck installed by a local member here (Elliot/MagnaSpawn) so I'm really disappointed to think that two well-respected members from this region would go so far as to say I was wasting time. Additionally, I sent two PM's over a span of aday to spend $2700-3000...which I do not think is a waste of time. But maybe that's just me.
Mehh, to each their own. I posted this message solely to assist other members in case they were inquiring about this vehicle similar to a post by NWf1fan21 a few days ago.

Long story short, your ask price on the S/C is at fair market value in my eyes and I deemed it a solid purchase from a local well-respected member. I asked whether the kit fits an AP1 which was my first PM, and my second PM was about whether you would be willing to do an install (since the tuning was included), and perhaps the third PM was my cash offer. You declined as you have received lots of interest and wanted to wait it out to which I agreed and have been waiting.
I decided to trade-in the S2k because after calculating the cost of a 2nd garage spot in a secure building Downtown ($225/month) along with my insurance costs, I could not justify spending so much when I'll primarily be parking the S2000 throughout the year (my daily commute is 70 miles/day all highway which I don't want to add to the S2k). My offer for the S/C still stood, regardless of whether I have a S2000 currently, because its a great deal and that is why I never contacted you the past few days to notify you that I sold my car as I am still interested in purchasing the kit.
