Default Calling all AP2's with Berk header-back exhaust.

I can't seem to get enough "comfortable" clearance between the drive shaft and the exhaust. I've used countless combinations of hanger setups with this last one making the car drivable. But I can tell that the exhaust moves enough to hit the bolts on the drive shaft every now and then.

My current combination is, triangle hanger right after the O2 sensor, rectangular hanger on differential, rectangle hanger just before the muffler, and triangle mount at the end on the muffler. This combination has the tip pretty much smack-dab in the middle of the exhaust hole.

I've found a couple of ideas while searching through the forum, but haven't had any luck.

My question is what have you guys done to fix this problem?

I absolutely love this exhaust, btw!

I have this installed on my AP2 and don't recall any fitment issues at all, it was really high quality and fit perfectly. Totally impressed with Berk's quality.

That being said, I haven't really gone looking to see if it's hitting anywhere so maybe it is and I just don't notice.

I have the same exhaust and while it was close to the cross member it wasn't near the drive shaft. Are you sure you got the ap2 version? Finally have you tried adjusting how tight the spring bolt are? If those are to tight they can cause fitment issues.

I guess it's possible that I could have tightened the spring bolts too much. They're supposed to be torqued to 35 lbs/ft., correct?

Just make sure they aren't to tight.

Not yet. I've been in Yakima for training the past week and a half. This will be my first task once I get back.
