Smile Car vandalized!

I was pleasantly (sarcasm to the extreme) suprised to get a call from my neighbor that when she came out to leave for work she noticed that I had 2 holes in my softop on my S2000. I don't drive my car daily, so i didn't notice it. I rushed home from work to inspect the damage and it was pretty bad.

1 2x2 foot hole right above the drive side seat, and one 2x2 foot hole right behind the drive side seat. I am figuring the assbag cut one in the rear of the top first, but coulnd't reach the door lock, so he cut one on top. The car was unlocked by the assbag he went through the contents in my center console. My wheel lock was in my car as I just put on my T1R coilovers and it wasn't touched at all, so I would assume they did not want the wheels. The coilover spanner wrench was out of my center console, and the police took it to get prints, but brought it back this evening said it was clean.

THANK GOD for the seat locks I bought when I got my car, and I completely believe that is the only reason I still have me seats. The money I spent on those locks paid off completely today. I would recommend these to anyone that wants to keep their seats, I had that complex where it would never happen to me, and well it did.

I am now wanting to find a simple alarm and a good place to get it installed in the North Seattle or Seattle area. I don't need anything really sophisticated just something that has a shock sensor and a hood sensor and possibly a back up siren. I would ultimately like to spend under 400 installed. Any suggestions would be great!

BTW - Pictures will be up of the damage shortly.

You actually bought my T1R test pipe from me a while back. I live in Shoreline/Lake Forest Park. A pretty tame neighborhood. I never thought it would happen, but apparently I was wrong.

I would buy seat locks as soon as you can.

My car is at Lynnwood Honda getting a new top this week. I wish they would have been respectful and cut only one hole!

That sucks, I hate Thieves!!!!!! I have a compustar alarm w/engine start, keyless entry, and trunk pin for 500.00. It has great range and you get a pager!!! (I know you wanted under 400)

Where did you get your seat locks? I need one too

The Compustar alarms look very nice. Where did you get it done at?

I got the seat locks off the forums from Kodakon or something like that. You can PM him and he will send you out 4 of them. I installed 2 on each of the 4 front bolts, they are very visible as they are a goldish color. I am going to get them powder coated hunter orange now!

i'd watch out when you go to places like that to do installs. don't give your real address if you can avoid it. cause they may make a duplicate copy of your pager alarm steal your car and strip it down.
