sorry to post this but anyone with a carfax account? my one month has just finished and i don't want to register another one to run one more vin number!!

Looks like a late 02 to me that is outside of the spark plug/oil jet range.

you can tell all that from just looking at the vin??
it's actually an 01

That's weird that it's an 01 since the VIN roughly corresponds to the engine number (they're only off by a little bit) so the higher the VIN number, the more recently that engine has been produced, which means there's less chance of certain problems.

If you check out this TSB: https://www.s2ki.com/stor/library/TSB/A02-042/index.htm

you can see that the VIN range listed applies to 02s and ends at 6983. Seems impossible for that one to be an 01, but I may be missing something.

i rad like the last 4 digits...its 8 thousand something. early in my eyes. b ut i have number 860 for the AP2 (MY04)

I have printed off 2 car fax reports. 1 for dbchang and 1 for DarrenDriven. Ill scan it later on tonight when I get home from work and school
