Default changing suspension

ok, i got the top two bolts off, and the bottom bolt off, so the damper is sitting in there. how do i get it out? on any other car, we would normally wiggle and manipulate the position of the damper to get it out... but on this car, the a-arms won't move that much, etc etc. what else do i have to remove?

my friend is on his way over with my helms, but i know the helms usually guides you to remove almost everything when replacing parts... wondering if anyone who has done this can give me any helpful tips asap. thanks guys.

For me, I just need to wiggle it out. Both front and back.

Are you sure you don't have enough space? try to push up a little bit so that you have more room at the bottom. Also, try turning your wheel to one side and move things around.

You should have enough space.

tryin that, and its not falling out. the bottom perch hits the upper A-arm, not allowing movement. we discontected the sway bar end links, which allowed more movement, but still about an inch too short. any other ideas?

That's why I hate working with suspensions; there always seems to be some very stubborn bolts, nuts and stuff. Pain in the ass!

I got a manual but I know I'll encounter some stubborn sob's when I finally get around to working on the suspension.

weird. mine just dropped right out...

make sure someone is holding on to the spring/shock or else you may damage your brake line.

well, i had to drop the lower ball joint via the two bolts on the bottom. once that was off, as well as the sway bar end links, the suspension dropped right out.

good news, the suspension is in and the car is dropped.

bad news, looks like the end links (pass side) screw is stripped on the inside, so the bolt won't go on all the way. gotta order some new end links now. grrr... unless someone has a trick to help me get that bolt back on...

Should of asked sooner or done search on it first.
You did it the hard way. What you had to do was unbolt upperA-arm at the body and take the C/O out. Anyways, Good luck with end link, fortunately I never had to deal with that.

You need to jack both side up at the same time so that your sway bar is not holding the bar upward. Then stand on (or jump on) the A arm, then you will have more clearance. I can put my Teins in less than two hours.
