I've seen many baseball games in my life, but never once have I seen anyone take a 3-pointer or go to the rim during one of them....
You know what I meant. All they do in baseball is try to hit a ball and run around bases faster than people can throw a ball across a field. All they do in racing is take the same line until they try to pass each other, and depending on how qualifying/the race goes, that doesn't even happen... for laps on end!! All they do in snowboarding is twirl around on rails and flip off jumps. Shit is weak yo.
That's not quite what I meant. I prefer NCAA basketball because sometimes they actually seem to run plays that are more interesting than just "hand the ball to the star and let him score." We see some tremendous athletic performances in the NBA, but sometimes that comes at the expense of any teamwork or strategy.
The equivalent in baseball is the "two walks and then a three-run homer" offensive strategy. It works, if you have the right people to do it, but it's kind of boring baseball to watch.
