Ok, now that you brought up my last place of employment....US Navy.... Assault Craft Unit 4 and 5....LCAC (Landing Craft Air Cushion) Craftmaster...Master Chief Petty Officer...aka: PWRMKR, let me tell you just a little about reality and fantasy.
That space thingy and saw blade somethingsomething isn't real. It's not. Honestly. Sorry.
And, them boats coast $22,000,000, new. I don't think you can buy used ones. So I guess that blows that.
Anyway, Our friends who built our wonderfully crafted machines (roadster) bought some LCAC from the US a few years back for national defense. We have a six boat detachment stationed in Japan as well.
I personally have driven LCAC-038, 79 knots (90 mph) up the Potomac River. It can carry up to 72 tons (done that and some), stop and turn on a dime. I've done 40 knots completely sideways (sideslip) and have heard of some extremists doing 40-knot doughnuts. Blablabla....the stories.
If you need to ditch the boat, just unload this and off you go. But that was another life...
