I'm glad I don't work there. Received an IM from a friend and said it was really hectic.

Doh, Seattle!

 

I was down there today. I picked up two sets of front rotors (one new, one being machined to try and salvage it as an emergency spare set). The rotors were still being worked on when I showed up around 1:05, so I walked over to Pike Place Market, bought some lunch and a latte, and walked back. I was leaving about 2.

As I drove past the Convention Center bus tunnel station, all the cops in the world were getting out of tactical vans and going inside. The station is closed for the Sound Transit work, so I figured this was some sort of training exercise. Now I see from the web that there was a major protest march today. Luckily I missed getting stuck in it.

I wonder if the cops were using the bus tunnel as a route to move around the city or if they were just staging in that station.

 

They are going to get what they want. They just keep protesting everywhere and they will win.

 

Isn't that how we got here?
