Default Custom seat mounts

Picked up a set of Buddy Club Low Down seat rails for my Sparco Revs and they are not fitting the way I would like. The seat fits too narrow for the brackets and the mounting doesn't inspire safety and functionality.

Does anyone know a local shop (North Seattle, Mill Creek, Lynnwood) that could create some brackets to alleviate this problem?

I just need more adjustment side-to-side for mounting onto the sliders. The current mounts don't account for such a narrow seat.

I have one last idea.

Than another member set something up for me at his friends shop, if those two fail, onto Speedware I suppose...

Who is Fordahl?

Edit: Looked in another thread and found the answer.

I doubt they could fab something up without the car though?

Fordahl (http://www.fordahlmotorsports.com/) made the custom mount for the drivers seat in my car. They shouldn't have any trouble making a bracket to mount your sliders to the stock mount...though you will likely end up sitting a bit higher...

I know this is a bit late, but just curious. If the seat is too narrow for Buddy Club Rail, couldn't you just throw a few washers in on each side? I don't think that would be any less safe. Or maybe I'm missing something?

I tried the washer idea, but it took so many washers it looked really unsafe since the bolts did not have that many threads into the seat at that point.

However, I did get it worked out. I had the bracket bottoms cut off and flipped and then tig welded back together. It gave the extra space I needed and allowed for the bolts to thread completely into the seats.

I will try and get some pictures up later tonight.

Wouldn't it have been easier/cheaper to just get longer bolts?

Long bolts and spacers (washers) are not a very good solution. The strength of the mounting would be significantly reduced. In a severe enough crash, it could be the difference between the seat staying attached to the mount versus breaking loose.

It's a matter of leverage on the bolt head.
