Default A dark day on wall street

So I was looking at my measly portfolio today when I about had a heart attack.
I hope the 's in Washington can pull their heads out of their tail ends and get us back on track.

I'm with RT. Compared to the late '90s and early '00s, yesterday wasn't a punch in the head -- it was a mother's gentle, loving caress of her baby's tender skin.

I'd say Monday would be a good time to buy if you're so inclined, though.

I put all my 2004 Roth contribution in ebay and sbux. Sbux is still a fighter although down but ebay is tankin fast

Ya my portfolio is getting rocked because i'm still tech heavy and most my investments are in stocks not funds. Just wait it out though, It's only paper loss unless you sell ... Ofcourse I normally sell when my stock price reaches .01 LOL

If you're gonna buy, I'd possibly think about the energy sector. My gut instinct tells me that it's gonna skyrocket the next 2 years until changes are made in our fuel consumption.

Check out andarko petroleum .. "APC" I've been watching this stock for 6 months and it's been going steady. I like it because their oil is based in the U.S.

I stopped looking at my portfolio after the tech crash.

I've had more "worthless securities" writeoffs than I care to admit.

Pretty much all I have left is Costco and Apple Computer.

DonBob is all ca$h, baby!

too bad those "worthless stock" deductions are limited to $3000/year .......... going to take a while to bleed those out

I guess there is the offsetting but you'd have to be making positive to use those too bad I can't sell the credits to DonBob

I sold last Friday, securing the money for a house down payment. I'm glad I did. My IRA took a punch, but I've got 35 years to recover.
