DRIVE: Cascade Loop!

Might want to stay overnight somewhere halfway through. I know about 100 miles of spirited driving usually tires me out, let alone 400. Thanks for organizing though! If this turns into a 2 day drive, I would probably be down.

I agree that it is It is quite a long drive! I did the 1/2 Cascade from Mt. Vernon to Leavenworth and it took me the better part of one day. I didn't start that early though and I did make a couple of stops, but the thing is there is a lot of traffic and some of the roads are single lanes without many passing options I would prefer two drives (Eastern Section/Western Section). Whatever you decide,
for your efforts!

Inputs, inputs, inputs!!!
There are dozens of good photo shots along the way, but only a few reasonable places to get gas and hit the head. I think we stopped 5 times along the way. Nearly everyone was totally exhausted when we got to Leavenworth. 9 hours in a car, in the sun, 80+ degrees outside...
As far as splitting it into two days, there are relatively few good options. Leavenworth is obviously one, but it's only 2 hours from Seattle so a lot of people will just finish. Winthrop and Twisp have pretty limited choices; Chelan has a few hotels; Wenatchee is a bit out of the way but might be the best choice. These places are all tourist traps and hotels might be fairly expensive for a summer weekend.
I don't have any other words of wisdom. It's a nice drive with a lot of epic scenery. Take lots of sun block, lip balm, and probably a cooler with water and Gatorade.
