Default End of Summer Tech Day

Hi guys,

Most of you already know what these events are, I'm hosting another one on August 27th. Work on cars, BBQ food, pool party. I have an event set up on Facebook, but for those of you who resist joining the 21st century (*cough*Junky*cough), I'm making a post here as well.

Rubber ducky pool party and bbq? I'm in at least for the fun and food! Will make sure the cell phone stays out of the swim trunks pocket this time. May or may not wish to work on my car. I'm having work done on it soon again at the shop (new wheel bearing), and changed the engine oil recently so the car should be good.

Also, I'm gonna smoke some meat for the day. There's a small "fund" to purchase some prime brisket from Costco. Please PM me if you're interested in throwing a few bucks into the pot. My meat does not disappoint. We will of course also need some sides and fixins too.

Oh and if anybody needs Amsoil too, I can do another order.

Same here about "FaceStalk" oops, I meant uhhm, err Facebook.
(i am tracked at work enough, GPS, security monitoring, etc. Sometimes its nice to get off the grid)

Spets is the host of the event. And might i say a cool dude in my book.
I've been to Tech Day and it was great meeting fellow S2K owners and learning about
the car at the event. I might do brakes at this one if I don't replace earlier.

ya, ya, I know I was humoring myself and Junky, as I've been a longtime s2ki member, and been to many meets and drives in the past. My car has been garaged for the past 4 years, with a split softtop window. I finally got motivated to replace the top and revist s2ki. I'm sure there are many new members who I yet have not met..

I gotta say, it felt good giving the car a bath, and getting her back on the road. I had totally forgotten what that Vtec kick felt like, and how nice the AEM intake sounds. I still have to get her registered (i've just been procrastinating going downstairs and remembering to write down the VIN). With my luck, the state will tell me the plates are too old and need to be replaced, because, blah blah bullshit reason, to take more out of our pockets. But, she passed emissions, once again, with flying colors, even though the testpipe had the entire test bay smelling of unburnt fuel.

That being said, after the 4 year slumber, my car is due to have all fluids changed. I'll likely take care of that this weekend and next, but I'm always happy to bust my knuckles while turning wrenches on other peoples' cars, as well.
