Default fark... need a new windshield for the FX

Anyone have a recommendation/hookup? My deductible is $500 so this will be an out of pocket deal.

Margin on automotive windshields is in excess of 75%. If your negotiation skills are up to task, you should be able to get a windshield installed on most cars in the $200 range. I recommend paying in cash.

Yeah, mine too. But I have zero-deductable comp. It's not that expensive, depending on where you live.

Good luck with the window. It's been a decade since I last did that, so no current refs to give out.

Some of them used to give outright kickbacks (eg. "We'll pay your deductable!") until the insurance companies cracked down on that.

I've always done $100 deductibles for comp, which is great. However, I never thought about doing a $0 deductible. I may look into that.

Thanks!

if the zero deductible is reasonable enough it's certainly worth a look...
