Default Fun with intakes

So the dyno day is coming this weekend and I'm planning on doing some experimentation. I of course have my 07 stock intake and will be using that as well as a K&N filter w/ a velocity stack and am hoping to use an AEM intake as well.

The AEM is from a 2001 model and am wondering if it will work w/o any ECU issues on my 07. I'm also wondering if any of you have your 01 stock airboxes you'd be willing to part with. A friend of mine needs to return his to stock.

Stay focused! You need to concentrate on those pink wheels.

you know whats funny, is i think that intakes like the AEM where they are down there to breathe fresh air will work better at speed tahn they will with a fan infront of the car. so i wonder just how accurate it is to have the car tested on a stationary dyno with these.

I have an extra stock box, lid and tube just kickin' it in my garage. What kind of intake is your friend getting rid of?

Vancouver WA.

I'll be up in Seattle around Christmas.

Let me figure out how much I paid for it and get back to you later tonight... my email at home should have it. I'd prefer to trade it for an intake if your friend's sellin' his though.

Will a 2001 work on an 07? If so I'm buying it. If not he'll trade you straight up.

I can't speak completely to it, but I believe there's differences in your throttle body height compared to a non-DBW car. I'd say there's nothing to lose testfitting it on yours, but don't be shocked if it hits the hood. Doubt there'd be any difference computerwise, they're all just filters-on-a-stick, unless there's some sensor in the OEM 07 airbox i've not heard of.

Looks like i paid 75.00 shipped for it. If the AEM ends up fitting your car, I can let it go at a breakeven. It's been sitting for about a year and i still haven't gotten around to experimenting with it.
