I tried to install the wire coming from the HT to the catcher but it wouldnt fit. Even if it did fit the wire that goes is behind the seat has nothing going into it?? sorry i think i might be confusing people.I would post pics but Im usually on my phone and cant really post pics.

 

i think theres a length of harness thats more or less a "jumper" that you need in order to wire this up. someone was selling one on craigslist for like 40 bucks recently. goes for 100 i think normally...dont quote me on that.

 

The hardtop installation kit includes a Y harness that connects to the hardtop defroster plug, side catcher plug, and the vehicle defroster harness. I attached a diagram that shows the harness. The harness is #3 in the diagram. It sounds like you might not have received that harness with your hardtop. You should be able to order it from any local or online dealer or find a used one online.
