Harebrained idea-- the Odyssey
I was lying in bed trying to sleep, and I got an idea so great that I'm now fully awake with no hope of sleep!
After S2KDays, I want to drive north, see my college roomie in Seattle, then up into Canada and to Alaska. With no particular timeframe in mind, I want to stop and see everything and really experience this trip, so is there anything in particular you guys can think of that I should earmark as a must-see or must-do?
Also, I would love to visit with fellow S2000 owners on the way, as many have done with me here in Texas and in my prior residence in Florida. Please let me know if you aren't too far off the beaten path, and I'll try to make certain that my S2000 and I get to visit with you!
Thanks, and I look forward to your suggestions!

Sondra,
be sure to drive up to Crater Lake in southern Oregon. That's the one thing I would call a 'must see'.
We've stopped at the Oregon sand dunes (central Oregon coast) and rented ATVs or dune buggies a couple of times. Cannon Beach (further north on the Oregon Coast) is a beautiful place and has cool shops and restaurants, although a bit touristy. Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Ranier are both amazing, too, and have very nice drives to and/or around them.
You could do part or all of the drive from Sacto to Seattle with our convoy, or go on your own and just give us a shout when you get into town.
Sounds like a fun drive!
