Default Help in filing tax return

Well, I am sure this board is not about cars only.

Anyways, just wondering anyone has recommendation of a good accounting firm that will help me do my tax return? I would like to hire an accountant to do it for me this year. I am no Bill Gates and my tax is not super complicated. Therefore, I don't need a high-end company. Just a normal company with normal price would be good enough for me.

Thanks,
Eric.

I use a high end guy because he is worth it for my oodles of business expenses.

Hey Eric, I would HIGHLY recommend picking up a copy of turbo tax from your local Best Buy, Target, or Fred meyer. The program will cost you anywhere from $20.00-$80.00 depending on what kind of assets you have. Myself - I opted for the the $20.00 basic program because I'm single, no dependents, and own my home- pretty simple. If you are a big stock market playboy type you might want to look at the deluxe version. These programs are incredibily easy to use and they will electronically mail your work to the IRS. Afetrwards you can opt to have the IRS deposit your refund directly into your checking or savings account. You'll see your return in your account in as little as 10-14 days.

Thanks for the recommendation. Actually I bought TurboTax Premier edition but it doesn't do what I need. What happen is I get married in 2004 and my wife is from Taiwan. Therefore, she doesn't have SSN and she need to apply a tax ID by filling out W7 forms. When filling out W7 form, it requires original identification and I don't feel comfortable of mailing the original passport. If I send them a photocopy, I need notary to sign it or something.

After all these trouble, I may as well pay someone and do everything for me. I heard doing personal tax return is less than $100 or something. If I can't find anything reasonable, I probably will do it myself.

Any idea how much is it? I guess I can call them and found out.

However, do you know of any standard CPA? I am afraid Steve Hauser may be a little over kill for me.
