Default i am teh n00b

Hey guys. I'm new to the forum and to S2Ks, got my AP2 as a spring/summer ride but so far, loving it. Gonna try to do some real basic mods while its hibernating. I look forward to meeting all ya'll.

I do have a question I was hoping to get some experienced help on though. I am thinking about buying some rims that I'm not sure how much work I'm going to have to put into getting them to fit. they're 17x9 +22 with 255 on the rear, and nothing on the front yet. I was planning on renting a fender roller (one I bought many years ago from japan broke), but anyone have any clue if more will be needed to get these to fit? thanks!

The rims are in Oregon, so, dont' really want to make the drive and find out I have to dump $5K into getting them to fit.

with a good clean roll and pull they will fit nicely with about 2.5 rear camber and 245 tires. i am running the equivalent of that exact offset 17x9.5 +35 and they in my opinion are the best fitment for modified fenders.

i have rolled my rears very tightly and I am running a 9.5 +44 with a 245/40 and i might have space for a 255 (w/ ridiculous amounts of camber)

a 9 wide +22 would extend 16mm or .62" further.. if you want to run a 255 tire you would need to pull your fenders,. it can be done but its common for the quarter panels to buckle.. (paint required)

IMO, get a wheel that fits..

Second that. If you have to get wheels, get ones that fit.

255 on a 9" with +22. Too extreme... even for the Junky

-8 camber isn’t exactly performance enhancing

Hey guys, thanks for the advice. it was a little too risky for me, even though I don't mind a little less camber and pulling my fenders. They were gram lights, pretty good deal too $900 used...
