Default Insurance

So I finally shopped around and got some quotes for insurance for my new S. I can get a fairly good deal with Geico and pay about $3 more a month than I was paying for my Aveo through State Farm. My State Farm will go up from 125(Aveo) to 142(S) for really good coverage(which is shocker to me because the Aveo was worth around 3000 in excellent condition according to KBB). Anyone have experience with Geico? Also, where have you found the best deal?

I've heard nothing but bad things about geico when people actually have to deal with claims

i hate geico....

i had my 91 prelude and my 04s2k on there.....i have 1K deductables and liability on the prelude. for 6mos it was 986....when i removed the prelude it WENT UP to 1175.

then the bitch tried to explain it to me by saying "sometimes when you buy two gallons of milk you get a better deal" no shit but 2 still costs more than 1. stupid bitch....

progressive for my 04 and my new car (89 subaru justy) is 558 for 6 mos with better coverage. and i refuse to go back to geico....and their rate was still higher with my suby and the s2k

I checked out progressive and they were almost double Geico for me. It's kinda of strange how insurance companies vary so much. I have no accidents or tickets and I just turned 25 and I can't get it under 100 a month anywhere.

I don't think I could ever go with Geico. Their commercials are hilarious, but who's paying for them? Geico customers, that's who. USAA rocks. Military ftw.

The only hell that I've been with insurance is Progressive. That was the other party (at fault). Long story short, they didn't save any money cuz they paid more than 5 wks worth of rental car. I swore I will never ever give them any business.

I had esurance and they are easy to have, as you can do everything online, yet they are fair to deal with.

You also have the Aveo as first car right (primary vehicle) and S2k for wkn car?? That you should save quite a few bucks.

This is completely normal, and all insurance companies give you a discount if you insure additional vehicles under the same policy.

Sometimes you can work it to insure a beater and park it full-time, and you'll end up with an overall cheaper insurance bill. Doesn't make sense but it works.

It might work sometime, my dad's insurance is keeping track of his 4th and 5th car in the policy, making sure they weren't over 3000 miles a year. I did one track day too much last year, and I got attacked for a whopping double premium. (went from $300 to $600)...

and get this, that same insurance company see "hit and run" case as collision instead of comprehensive. One of our cars got a small bumper incident, and my dad found out the hard way.

With all those things going on lately, I think insurance will get higher and higher, and unfortunately, getting worst.
