IRDC Drivers School July 12
Just a reminder that IRDC is having their race drivers school this weekend at Pacific Raceway. This is a great first time event to orient you to the track, and also gets you one step closer to a Race License if that is a goal for you.
I plan on going to the track to be there and work, although my car is still not ready.

Jim,
thanks for posting this reminder. The IRDC school at Pacific Raceways is a great first- (or second- or third-) time track event; cheap, local for Seattle area folks, instruction, on a weekend.
Here's the info:
* IRDC (http://www.irdc-racing.com/) (ICSCC sanctioned) is holding their High Performance And Competition Driving School on Saturday July 12 at Pacific Raceways (Seattle) plus a classroom session the evening before in Seattle. Cost is $225 (covers both days). Classroom session covers car preparation, car control (proper apex, types of turns), car handling (understeer, oversteer, etc.), flags. Track day includes track walk, braking and slalom exercises, several 20 minute lapping sessions with instructor, possible solo lapping sessions. They will accept the S2000 factory roll hoops. They will accept motorcycle helmets. Several of us have taken the IRDC class. It is a very good first time track event, as they talk you through what you will be doing, cover the course well, and have good instructors.
