Only if the insurance company declares it a total loss, and then it will have a salvage title. You have to get it inspected by WSP after it's repaired to get a rebuilt title, and you can't drive or park it on public roads until after you get that done.

It's fairly unlikely that an insurance company would total out an S2000 for something like seats and a top, though, since they're both non-structual, non-mechanical parts.

I feel your pain on this, seats were stolen and my top was cut open today. Hope everything works out for you.

Got a PM from wingle69.

Every time I read one of these threads, it rips my heart out. I'm sure you guys feel the same. I'm with the guy who posted to go out and kick some ass - just in case!

Just beware that xviper's homemade seat locks can be removed EASILY with pliers or a vice grip - the Kodokan Seat Locks can't be removed with clamping tools. Also - the seat bolts are not bolted in tight like xviper's post suggests. The torque on the front seat bolts is only 16 foot-pounds.

Don't get me wrong - if I didn't have the money for real Seat Locks, I would do the homemade kind in a second!

Be careful out there, guys!

-Pete
