Ted, where were you? Great day, gorgeous weather. A few traffic issues, but not too bad.

Not only was the guy with the 360 Challenge car out today, but a guy with a Carerra GT showed up to play with his new toy. P-cars dominated the field, for some reason.

I surprised a few of them, though. They were surprised to find out that my car was basically stock. They were having a hard time believing that an S2000 could stay with them. For some reason or another I was much faster than I have been in the past. I think I'm learning to trust the Toyos.

Wished I could've gone ;(

I was there on Saturday for the IRDC day and the weather was great the turnout was about 15-18 cars per run group and plenty of space. 5 sessions (should've had 6) but all in all a great time.

the S2000 was a LOT of fun at PRI, and other than the straights, I had one Red e46 owner scratching his head, so that was fun as well.

Mike if you find out about any last minute days etc... let me know, I've only got 2 confirmed days in august right now and looking for 1-2 more. I'm also headed down to PIR on the 22nd, and wondered if you are going?

the coolest car there on Saturday was a speed world challenge C5-R that was 557 hp at the crank and 3030 lbs! whoa it was purdy!

btw, got to meet up with Kai, Apex and a couple other forum members which was a nice bonus.

It was indeed a fine day, with the weather cooperating. It was a full track, and they made a couple of mistakes in who they put in the faster group (I shouldn't be lapping an M-coupe or an M3 if the driver's a decent driver), but it was a pleasure being passed by the Ferrari (you don't even have to lift when that beast want to pass).

Mike, you are fast. I couldn't quite hang with you. I could keep you in sight for many laps, but you put a second or two on me, lap after lap.

Wish I could have been there. I'm hoping to do one or two days in August.

Glad you guys had a good day out there.

Yeah, it was a great day. Nice weather and nice cars to check out. I originally signed up for Monday but knew that you guys signed up for Tuesday so I switched.

With bone-stock suspension and shitty street tires the car oversteered too much in the first session so I disconnected the rear anti-rollbar for a quick fix. Car leaned a lot then, and my camber setup became insufficient but at least the car was closer to balance (now from the understeer side) in the corners.

Since last time, I've got the rear axles torqued up and seemed like the rear-wander I had from last time was gone. However, bumpsteer still seemed to be a hinderance such that I had to dial back my driving to leave room for it. I'm tempted to get the rear anti-bumpsteer kit from Go Fast but I think I'll try out with a big-front-bar plus rear factory bar re-connected first because yesterday the car leaned a lot in the corners which resulted in +ve camber and lots of bumpsteer. However, I've been busy on various things these days so it'll slow down my car development time.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to meet you guys at the next track day.

I'm sure I'll do some more track days this year, but I'm not signed up for anything at the moment. Money is becoming the critical parameter, unfortunately.

My car is stock, except that I have a big, adjustable front bar. I need to dial it up a bit (had some looseness in the rear end in 5b every time). But none of that seems to be of much help with the bump-steer. I'm considering abandoning hope of keeping stock-legal in autocross, to make the car safer/better on the track. The anti-bumpsteer kit is on the list if I decide to do that.

I'm also not signed up for another day at the moment; I want to do more, but August is kind of busy, so I'll have to see.

There is a PCA event at PIR on the 24th of July. Only $100 if you pre-register. I ran the same event about a month ago and it was great. It was crowded, with about 120 cars but I'm hoping that was because it was a tri-club event.

a big fan of you guys.... a street ricer chiming in here...

first and foremost, props to you s2000 drivers for #1 stunning at the track and showing the p-pricks what's up, especially you mr. Garrison.

now all this technical talk about bumpsteer issues, sway bar, camber, blah blah..

so i never ever heard RT talking anything about all this jibber jabber and he was running heavy, but wide ass Fikses lowered on cut springs. probably everything else bone stock, yet even with his mouth shut on all that technical stuff and i'm assuming he didn't really think about that stuff, he still posted whoop ass s2000 lap times at the PIR w/o sweatin' the details or at least he made it look easy.

how is that? i mean heck it couldn't really just be about RT style big balls and talent right? or are you guys just over analyazing everything and still posting slower lap times than say Mr. Garrison who pretty much runs a stock?

this street ricer bystander racer wannabe but not really would love to get your thoughts.

Sincerely,
White Red S2K

I'm starting to get a little urge to divert the track funds from all bikes back to the original intent of splitting it with both the bikes and the s2k this season.

Man, what to do?
