Microwaves are overrated. When my kittens need a bath I just toss them in the washer. I've got one of those front loaders with the little window, so I can keep an eye on the tykes. I do set the spin cycle to gentle, but kittens are tougher than they look.

Then a few minutes in the dryer and they are good as new. Nicely fluffed up, too.
