Default Locked trunk!

Emergency, need help! I replaced my trunk with a carbon fiber trunk, bolted the trunk latch on, bolted to the hinge, and shut the trunk to align. Didn't realize that I forgot tohook the wire to the trunk latch. Now the trunk is locked, the remote does not work and the trunk release and the console does not work. ..... The question is, is there another way to get into the trunk to pull the release swtich from inside???...Please respond if anyone has experienced this situation or knows a way to get to the inside of the trunk from the front.

Thanks

Mike

Is the lock installed on it? There is a rod that goes to the latch from the lock that you just gotta pull on.

You can access from the front but its a tight fit. The small panels behind the seats can get to the trunk, but the spare and spare cover are in the way. Plus its a really small opening.

Its a lot of work but the tray that the softtop sits on when its down can also be removed to access the trunk. Its a lot of work to get it out though because many panels have to be removed and its still a tight squeeze. Hopefully someone knows a better method to solve your problem.

That's the obvious thought, but it seems that everybody else is posting crazy complex processes... Are we missing something?

He got it solved I guess. He posted this in the Oregon section as well and has been updating that thread with his results.

I GOT IT OPEN LAST NITE!!!

TOOK THE BACK PANEL BEHIND THE PASSENGER SEAT OUT AND THEN I MOVED THE PANEL WHERE THE TOP SITS ON... MOVED THE SPARE TIRE OVER TO THE RIGHT ON TOP OF THE GAS TANK, FROM THERE WITH A FLASHLIGHT YOU CAN SEE THE SWITCH... WITH ONE OF MY SPARE SHAFT FROM MY PREVIOUS GOLF CLUB I REACHED IN AND PUSHED THE LATCH TO THE LEFT WHILE MY WIFE SLIGHTLY PULLS THE TRUNK UP...IT TOOK ME 4 1/2 HOURS TO GET IT TO OPEN ALL BECAUSE I WAS RELUCTANT TO TAKE THE CAR APART... BUT ANYWAYS, THANKS ALOT!!!
