Need a good reference
Need a good/reliable reference and a none S2000 tire question.
Anyone know of a good alignment shop in Snoho county ?
Also need some tire ideas for my wives '08 Acura TL ? I bought my wife some Conti Extreme DWS 2 1/2 years ago. Couple reasons I chose them, was the 50k/6 year warranty, a good price and positive reviews from a tire website. Well after 2.5 years and 23,000 miles, 3 of the tires are DONE (the only reason the 4th wasn't, we had to replace it due to a puncture), the right front actually had cords showing on the inside and all three showed inside and middle wear.
The last time she had her oil changed at Lynnwood Acura, they said "one of your tires is showing wear", that was probably 4-5 months ago, I certainly hope those tires didn't wear that quick, 4 months ago one is showing wear and now 3 are done. From what I've read on the Acura forum, this seams to be common with those tires on TL's.

^^ I feel like I might have had those on a beater at some point. *shrug* they seemed okay. As for alignment, I've had good success with the Firestone in Everett near the Home Depot. I have the lifetime alignment package on both my cars and they always seem to take my custom requests without any hassle.
Hope you've been well, Roger!

The Hankook V12 Evo 2s seem to be a decent tire. There's also the Sumintomo HTRZ III but those are kind of old at this point.
I have the Bridgestone RE970 on my TL from the previous owner, no complaints here.
The MXM4 just look so.... bleh.

I recommended those tires for my mom to purchase on her 08 TL (year before redesign w/ giant chrome emblem), and two years later they still have excellent tread with absolutely no complaints. Perhaps the alignment is off, unless for some reason you got a defective set of tires as others have apparently had happen to them. Also, I take it the place you purchased the tires at does not work with the manufacture to honor the 50,000 mile/six year warranty?
The only place I know off the top of my head in Snohomish County other than a place like Firestone for alignments is Evergreen Auto Works off the Bothell-Everett Highway, although they specialize in collision repair work.
As for the tires, I believe the Michelin MXM4's were the OEM tires for my 2002.5 Jetta GLI. That right there should say enough about them..
I was eager to "upgrade" to a UHP set of Hankook Ventus V4's, which held to the road much better, and the DWS is still an upgrade over these.
If going with a set of grand touring all season tires, perhaps consider the Michelin MXV4's (no experience with them, but decent tirerack reviews).
However, no grand touring tire will handle as good as the DWS, so I would consider sticking to the Ultra High Performance all season category, in which case I'd consider the Michelin Pilot A/S 3 (when on rebate/promotion) or perhaps Hankook Ventus S1 Noble, or Bridgestone RE970 AS Pole Position. I have been running the Michelin Pilot A/S+ tires (intended as my winter set up) for over 10,000 miles on my S2000, and have no complaints. The rears will have gotten about 20,000 (lots of semi-spirited driving) miles on them before they are toast, but the fronts still show plenty of tread. They handle very good for an A/S tire, and are excellent in the rain--I imagine the Pilot Sport A/S 3 would be even better.
