Default Need some help with an NSX

A friend of mine is looking heavily into buying one, but he's having seat issues. Perfect car for what he wants, BUT he's 6'1" and his head hits the damn roof, barely. Does anyone know anyone with a racing seat in theirs? I'm wondering if a lower profile seat would fix the issue, but it's a pretty steap expirement to buy one, put in a seat, and still not fit. If anyone knows anyone, can you have them get ahold of me? Thanks!

I think there is an alternative to a new seat. I believe there is a 3rd party alternative seat cushion that is lower.

Correct. There are four models to choose from:

http://www.daliracing.com/v666-5/catalog/i...t.cfm?focus=547
http://www.daliracing.com/v666-5/catalog/i...t.cfm?focus=447
http://www.daliracing.com/v666-5/catalog/i....cfm?focus=1275
http://www.daliracing.com/v666-5/catalog/i....cfm?focus=1807

There are few local members of the NSX club with this modification. I can put your friend in contact with the NSX club. Quite likely, an owner would let him try out the modified seat or potentially some of the aftermarket seats.

Aftermarket seats for NSX generally won't increase too much head room clearance compare to the stock seats. (I have Recaro seats on mine). He could also have someone custom frbricate a seat rail for the aftermarket seat to increase head room, but this is not a popular mod, I've only seen it once from another member in Vancouver BC.

The dali seat cushions is more popular mod for tall people. For vendor review, go to www.nsxprime.com and search dali racing.
I've had good experience with dali so far, but some members does experience issues with dali.

Prehaps he could come out to our next NSX meeting, best place to check for meeting is go to nsxprime and under northwest forum. Or if he prefers email, please have him send an email to seattlensxclub@gmail.com

Yeah... me too. I don't care about the NSX - I would like to be 6'1" someday.

With the amount you fly, I can assure you that you wouldn't want that!

Jeff only flies first class. Problem is, it's first class on Horizon.

taking Horizon in a few hours. "Every Seat if First Class" (unless of course you're sitting next to a 350lb guy.

On 2nd thought - never mind the 6 ft. thing.
