Default New guy...

Hola folks, I thought I'd post and say hi. I'm going to be lurking for a while to learn. I've seriously begun looking at an S2000 recently. My MR2 Spyder has been in the shop for an engine replacement for well over a month now. I'm getting a bit pissed off and frankly a number of things have left me wondering about it's long term reliability. (Which is really unfortunate, because I love the car otherwise) I think it's time for a trade in.

Anyways, I've never been much of a Honda guy so I don't know anything about the local dealers or buying a S2000 locally. Hopefully I'll pick up a thing or two just lurking.

A few of you guys probably know me (like Jerry). Blue MR2 from Bellevue, now in Issaquah. Maybe S2000 soon.

Welcome to our humble home...or something like that.

I've been lurking on this board for a few months now and have learned a LOT by searching the archives and asking questions. There's a helpful bunch of nutcases around here...

Regardless of whether you end up trading in to an S2000, I hope you get the MR2 back soon. It's a pain in the @$$ to be out of a car for that long. Been there. Done that. Had to ride my bicycle in the meantime. It sucked.

Hey guys, I'm looking in the gallery, and at Honda info and - is Monte Carlo Blue non-US color, or a discontinued color, or what? I dig it!

JDM color. The MY2003's will not include it either. No word on 2004 yet.

Jason,

I could've told you a long time ago that the S2000 is way more car than the MR2 Spyder. I didn't because I knew you loved that car to death and my white one was a stablemate in the garage.

The S2000 is unique. Well, not so much anymore cuz they're everywhere especially around the MS campus, but it's still pretty damn special. You really can't compare the Spyder to the S2000 and after doing a few runs with me way back when, you know how it goes.

If you can afford it, go for it and if you want the real hook ups, let me know. I've sent three referrals to my guy and all three bought and were happy with the pricing and the no BS negotiations.

Good luck.

I believe that Monte Carlo blue is available in Europe and Australia as well as Japan.
