Default ORDERINGG OEM HT

Well, since I've wanted one since I bought the car and since they will soon (2009) become alot hareder and more expensive to get, I'm ordering the Honda OEM hardtop for my car.

Umm, you want our permission? Or just our approval?

I'm guessing that they're probably going to keep making the accessories for a while after they stop production of the car.

Since the CR came with a HT, I suspect Honda may simply let whatever stock exists deplete. There's no real incentive to keep making more HTs when there are no more cars being built.

Depends on how profitable HTs are. Are they major post-sale profit items for Honda? Or are they just tools that help dealers sell more S2000s?

The answer will affect whether Honda keeps the hardtop line open for as long as sales continue, or whether they stop making them immediately and sell out the remaining stock.

That's kinda how I see it. You don't stop making something until it stops being profitable. I think that we might see the HT go to more of a made-when-you-order item soon, but I doubt they'll stop making them completely for at least a few years.

Not asking for anything just finally making it happen. I asked questions about installs etc. in the past. I also think that HTs will be around for awhile but may be more $ as the supply and demand play out.

Yeah HT makes car look nicer and cleaner.
Also it makes inside way more quiet too.
You need to install side chatcher before you put HT on though.
Honda usually charge around $400 just for installation but I did it myself.
It is very easy.
