PIR Race Summary 5/3
Race 2 summary
Well race number 2 took us to Portland International Raceway last weekend. Dale has become friends with one of the race officials, and is now renting transponders for them. It is one of the jobs that can be done from our paddock area, with Reilly helping out. He makes sure everyone knows

Jim,
thanks for posting the update! I was wondering what happened...
So the poodles weren't too bad? That's a relief. I get a little nervous thinking about driving past The Point in the rain.
Wow, a 1:24! What configuration were you guys running?
That blows away your previous 1:38 (w/festival turns), and Ray's 1:26:09 (full front straight) & Chris' 1:33.9 (w/festival turns).
Really shows that your driving skillz have improved and your car preperation has paid off.
Be sure to submit that time to Doug's Hall of Fame.
Hopefully we can get several people to come out and watch you at Pacific Raceways.

Ted

The straights were the scariest parts. It was hard to keep going straight, it always pulled left or right depending on the depth of te water. Really strange at 115+.
The coarse was run without chicane, next time it will be with. They like to alternate.
Yeah, you guys who are doing the AJ racing day on the 20th should come out and watch the races on the 17th and 18th and say hello. It would be a great opportunity to see 3a and 3b as well as the 5-6 area with cars on it at speed. I think they do track crossings at every session.

Thanks Michael. My race will be on the 17th. The novice practice sessions are about 11:00am and 1:00pm, and the race is at about 4:00pm. The schedule has not been published yet, but that is how they have worked so far.
Help? We should have it covered I think, but anyone who comes out, bring a chair and you guys can call our pit area home. We should be in the middle of all the action with Dale working with the Race Officials. That way just in case of something unexpected, people can pitch in too.
Erick, I think Ray has something up his sleeve (like five Aces), so we will have to see. Me, I have nothing big in the works for changes yet.
