Default Purchasing a SB AP2 this Weekend!

Hey all,

I'm looking at a 04' Suzuka Blue AP2 and I'm going to swing by Saturday to try and make a deal for it.

Anyways, do you guys have any tips on trying to lower the price of the car? I'm not much of a bargainer but any advice would help tons!

I look forward to joining you all soon, and have a lot planned for this car!

Thanks

Been scoping that car everyday for a couple months. Tried to get the manager to trade me the wheels off of it with cash on top but he didn't bite.

The car looks clean and it looks like it's been taken care of. Good luck with negotiating price!

If you have stock AP2 V1 wheels we can work out a deal

PM this weekend if you want to make an offer on just the wheels, i'm personally not a big fan of them

You'll be the talk of the town when you roll down the street.

i used the dealers inspection to get the guy to lower the price for mine but it was a 3rd party sale, not really sure if they'll even let you do one of those with a car from a dealership but its worth a shot. either way best of luck in your purchase hope to see you around at some of the meets.

Several times I have bought cars (both were 1st gen MR2s) after requesting a compression test. If the numbers come back like 220, 200, 180, 160, you can tell them to reduce the price because the compression is low. The REAL reason for numbers like that is the mechanic was too lazy/ignorant to pull the EFI fuse or the injectors. :-)

if you havent bought it yet really the only thing you can do is mention the wheels are some not-stock piece and argue that it affects the value negatively. hard sell.

other than that you can really only argue mechanical condition. does it have clutch buzz, is there evidence its been through a 30k check? if not, ok thats something.

def do a compression and leakdown test on this car.
