Default Q! AP2 front end change on a AP1!

Do you have to swap the whole ap2 front end to have it on the ap1. Or just simply buy a ap2 front bumper and slap it on the ap1.

Just asking cause I probably will have my S2k maybe this week if this sales person takes my offer on the Red 2002.....

Takes a little cutting to get an AP2 bumper onto an AP1.

I recently bought an AP2 bumper and they said you can just slap it on without doing any modification to it but in DIYs Ive seen, you ned to cut off the corner of the.....I dont kno the name for it.....the metal peice behind the bumper that the styrofoam peice sits in front of. Im probably gon cut it for peice of mind. Another issue you might want to address is the underplastics. Im gonna need to buy that too. Im not sure how the AP1 underplastics will fit with an AP2 bumper tho.

I did the conversion not to long ago. You will need to shave the corners of the bumper support. The plastic peice under will not bolt up correctly but I used zip ties and havent had any problems what so ever. All in all I thought It was a fairly easy process, just take a little time

I've always wondered if you can just get the AP2 bumper reinforcement. I know it's just extra cost...but for those people that don't like the idea of cutting pieces of metal that are there to protect them, itmight be another option.

It doesn't matter that much to me. From what I've seen...you don't really have to cut too much off the ends anyway. Plus...I did the same thing on my last car.
