Yea, I'm going to the festival there on just the Sunday to see Jane's Addiction and Nine Inch Nails. That's why I'm planning on the logistics. I figure I'll take the scenic route on the way there and at night take the fastest way back home. That's why I wanted to get feedback on each of the routes.

Hmm it really depends on whether or not I stay the night. I don't plan on staying the night because it's not a long weekend for us Canadians. So maybe I'll take US20 there and take the I-90 back.

Is traffic really going to be that bad for memorial day weekend?
You should find out exactly when Jane's Addiction and Nine Inch Nails will be playing. If the order on the website is the order they will be playing, you would need to leave really early in the morning or go one day ahead.

FWIW last year, during the memorial day long weekend, I drove to meet the Oregon crew at the Stonehenge. We went on a Saturday and the I90 was pretty smooth driving, with the exception of one stretch which was bumper to bumper b/c of road construction. I agree that it is a very scenic route!
